I was there a while ago for a pub quiz. I didn't win anything unfortunately, but I really enjoyed my whole experience there. The staff are really nice and friendly and they treat you as if you know them for ages. The prices are reasonable, not too expensive and not too cheap. I would definitely visit again - really liked the atmosphere!
Had a lovely lunch with a dozen ladies...all from our Singing group.Must say the parsnip soup.and the sorbet were delicious.I had the beef, Yorkshire,roast, along with the best selection of vegetables,and perfectly cooked.My only criticism,was the beef was slightly tough .But overall a great meal.Some of the other ladies had salmon.and turkey.. both were enjoyed.This is our third year here,and see you next year..
Fascinating coaching inn on the Stony High Street. Very old and very interesting. I have not eaten here but I do enjoy stopping in for a pint every so often, usually has a decent selection of cask options, the keg beers are all pretty average though. Quaint setting, I'd reccomend popping in if you are in the area.
